It's 4th Tuesday and that means Family Night at Durkins- our family friendly, networking, socializing, happy hour, rock n roll, pizza eating party! Owner and ally extraordinaire, Michael Durkin donates 10% of sales to GALA Youth, our group for LGBT and questioning youth.
Come out and bring a friend or two. It's as easy as eating pizza!

The 3rd Thursday of each month we gather at a LGBTQ+ friendly business. It's time to connect with old friends and meet new ones; check in with what is going on in the LGBTQ+ community; toast happy times; prepare for the coming days.

ANNUAL MOVIE FUNDRAISER
Each year, GALA hosts a film of importance to the LGBTQ+ community. On July 25, 2019, we are screening Lady Eva and Alabama Bound.
Alabama Bound explores the legal roller-coaster ride of LGBTQ family rights in the South over the last decade. The film offers a view into the lives of three lesbian families in Alabama as they set precedents and fight the courts for their children. This is the story of a community living with frustration and hope in a state where the line between church and state is often blurred.
Lady Eva: A brave young transgender woman sets off on a journey to become her true self in the conservative Pacific Island Kingdom of Tonga - with a little inspiration from Tina Turner along the way.
SUMMER PARTY ON LAKE LEWISVILLE
Come make some new friends on our 105-passenger party boat. In 2017, we enjoyed free frozen margaritas courtesy of our sponsor Republic Tequila...stayed cool with free ice cold beer provided by our sponsor Lakewood Brewing Co...got nourished with catered snacks by Chef Travis Cummings -- show off your vocal talents with music and karaoke by Robert "O" Karaoke, winner of The Dallas Voice 2016 Best of the Best! -- play in the lake on a dozen inflatables -- win the raffle and take home great prizes from our sponsors.
GALA ALLY AWARDS
Gather with GALA for a reception to honor allies who work to enhance equality for LGBT North Texans and their families. We celebrate the work of allies because their courage is an incredible asset to our work. Their dedication to changing hearts and minds makes North Texas a better place for us all.
Our 1st Ally Awards, in 2016 featured the amazing leaders of the City of Plano. Our 2017 Awards featured community volunteers. Please watch for upcoming details of our 2020 event.
WINTER HOLIDAY PARTY & FUNDRAISER
Join GALA for our biggest event of the year and help us continue our mission of celebrating diversity and enhancing equality in North Texas!
In 2016, we moved to a new venue: event1013 in downtown Plano. It is more spacious and it is centrally located. Ample parking close by and it's a short walk away from the Downtown Plano DART station.
Every year, look forward to delicious hors d'ouvres, open bar with beer, wine and vodka cocktails, an incredible silent auction, and a raffle.
