On Saturday, December 9th, GALA Board Member and GALA Youth Director, Michael Wren, was canonized by the DFW Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as Saint Brother Goose, the Keeper of the Wee LGBT of the Order. The DFW Sisters are a fully professed House of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They are a modern, communal order of 21st century nuns dedicated to community service, fundraising, outreach, advocacy, education for safer sex awareness, promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment.
Michael was honored for his work ongoing work with GALA Youth and helping ensure that LGBTQ+ youth in Collin and Denton County have a place where they are loved and celebrated for being their authentic selves unapologetically and openly.
